The UPC LRG is focused on research and education in all the fields related to Lightning phenomema: Physics, Detection and Protection.

NEWS! 15/12/2021 Update of the Ebro Lightning Mapping Array (eLMA)

The future and consolidation of the Ebro Lightning Mapping Array (eLMA) is ensured thanks to the funding from the Convocatoria de Equipamiento Científico-Técnico 2021 by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación. Our proposal has been approved (reference: EQC2021-006957-P). We will renew our VHF lightning mapping system as well the high-speed intensified video instrument. In addition our current Lightning Mapping Array sensors will be updated and offered for campaigns.

NEWS! ASIM on the SpaceX Falcon 9 successful launch on April 2, 2018! We have been there!
